Kelowna Real Estate MarketThe Mayne team would like to take this opportunity to update you on what's been happening in the Kelowna marketplace. With the first quarter of 2008, The Central Okanagan Real Estate Market shows that there has been a decline in the units sold for the first quarter from last year and an increase in listings, the median and average house prices are still going up. The Canadian Real Estate Association prepared a forecast in 2007 and predicted the national home sales activity across the country would break all previous annual records in 2007 before easing slightly in 2008. This appears to be what is happening in the Central Okanagan. Activity was forecast to edge slightly lower in 2008 and the average price increase should be smaller. Okanagan Real EstateThe Okanagan Mainline Real Estate Board statistics show that we have moved into a market that is currently providing a good deal of variety and choices for the buyer. Not only do buyers have a greater supply of housing to choose from but they can be more selective in meeting their needs and wish lists.
